Scientific foundation competencies are concerned with analyzing and applying data that can be used to examine, enhance, and improve healthcare services. It focuses on evidence-based care and employs both qualitative and quantitative research. Practices in health literacy, vulnerable groups, and cultural awareness are also covered. I intend to participate in additional studies using evidence-based techniques to design competent but culturally acceptable ways to improve the quality and standard of care in the community I serve.
