After minutes have been transcribed and thoroughly checked, you will need to distribute them to
various different people.
There are two key reasons for sending out minutes:
➢ Participants from the meeting are unlikely to be able to remember everything that was
discussed and specific actions that are required. The minutes can serve as a valuable
reminder for those in attendance
➢ There may have been people who were unable to attend the meeting, such as if they
were unwell or busy with another task. The content of the meeting could still be
pertinent to these individuals and reading the minutes can make sure they are up to
date with business proceedings.
