Attractive Privilege is garnering more and more attention due to its associations with
several detrimental effects, including prejudice, inequality, and even violence. To demonstrate
how Pretty Privilege contributes to many injustices, this will examine the various detrimental
repercussions of the phenomenon in my study project. An attractive Privilege is an oppressive
form that may cause injustice, prejudice, and even violence in society.
I know certain things on the concept of “pretty privilege,” which is sometimes called
“attractiveness privilege,”. I am aware that the phrase “pretty privilege” refers to the economic
and social benefits that people who are deemed beautiful in society enjoy. Additionally, I am
aware that privilege is present in a variety of spheres of life, including relationships, job, and
education. According to studies, persons who are viewed as beautiful are more likely to succeed
in relationships, land higher-paying professions, and achieve better academic results. A time in
life when I experienced pretty privilege was when I was a student in secondary school. Both
teachers and students used to acknowledge certain students who were deemed “attractive”, at the
expense of students who were good academic performers. The scenario I experienced during my
secondary school education times, rose concerns in me to study on the pretty privilege concept.
